Export Your Meera Trip to a Real Travel Agent

When does a planning tool stop and a travel agent start?

For a quick city break, a beach week at a resort, or any trip where you'd
honestly just hit "book" yourself — Meera ends with a partner click-through
and that's that. You don't need a human in the loop.

But there are trips where you do. Honeymoons. Big-anniversary multi-city
European tours. Multi-generational family reunions that need eight people
in the same villa for a week. Cruises with shore excursions in countries
where you don't speak the language. Trips where something complicated has
to be juggled — a corporate retreat with a side trip, a wedding with a
honeymoon strapped to the end, a trip that includes someone with serious
mobility constraints.

For those, we built Export-to-Agent.

What it does

You finish planning your trip in Meera. The day-by-day is set, the
preferences are dialled in, your budget's clear, the must-includes are
captured.

You click Export to Agent. You pay $19. You enter the email address of
the travel agent you want to work with — yours or one we suggest from our
partner network.

Meera generates a structured agent brief: your full itinerary as a clean
PDF, plus a JSON-format companion file that includes:

• Origin city + destinations + dates
• Group composition (travellers, kids, accessibility)
• Pace + budget tier + accommodation style
• Must-includes (places, vibes, requirements)
• Rather-skips (things you've explicitly opted out of)
• Day-by-day plan with rationale per item
• Any partner clicks you've already made (so the agent knows what you've
  already locked in)

We email it to the agent. The agent receives a single, well-organised
document instead of a fifty-message email thread.

Why this is worth $19

The price is set deliberately above the pure-planning unlock ($4.99) because
the value to the agent is much higher.

A travel agent's intake call — the part where they ask you "what kind of trip
do you want, who's going, what dates, what budget" and so on — typically takes
45-90 minutes. For a multi-city or complex trip it can be two hours. The agent
charges for that time, directly or through their margin.

The Export-to-Agent brief replaces the intake. The agent reads the document,
calls you with their proposed refinements, and you've saved an hour-plus on
the front end. They've saved an hour-plus on their end. The $19 splits the
difference in a way both parties find fair.

What if I don't have a travel agent?

We have a small partner network of agents who've opted into receiving Meera
briefs. They pay us nothing — Meera's revenue is the $19 from you. Their
incentive to be on the list is that the briefs they get are dramatically
better than what walks in over the phone.

If you don't have an agent, the Meera Advisors page lets you
opt to send the brief to a partner agent, with a small write-up of what
you'd ideally want them to focus on (price-sensitivity, occasion, special
requirements). The partner network is curated; we screen for agents who
actually plan rather than agents who book.

What this isn't

Export-to-Agent is not Meera making the booking for you. We don't take a
booking commission from the agent. We don't sit in the middle of the
financial transaction. The agent invoices you for their fee directly,
they book the components on whatever back-end they use, and you transact
with them.

We're the brief generator. The agent is still the agent.

This is intentional. Meera is a planning-only service ([here's why](/blog/
why-meera-doesnt-book-your-trip)) and we're not in the booking business.
Export-to-Agent extends the same logic — when a human handoff makes sense,
we generate the cleanest possible handoff and step out of the way.

When to use it

Use Export-to-Agent if:

• You're planning a complex multi-city trip and you want one human keeping
  track of all the connections
• You're doing a big-occasion trip (honeymoon, milestone anniversary, big
  birthday) and you want the booking confidence of a person rather than a
  set of partner click-throughs
• The group is large or complicated (8+ travellers, multi-generational,
  mixed mobility levels)
• You're flying long-haul on points and need an agent who can navigate
  award-availability tooling you don't have access to
• The trip has high financial stakes (premium hotels, business class, a
  villa rental) and you want the protection of an agent's professional
  liability insurance behind it

Skip it if:

• You're booking a simple short trip — Meera's partner click-throughs are
  faster and cheaper
• You don't have a relationship with an agent and prefer self-service
• The trip has minimal moving parts (e.g. a Saturday-Sunday city break)

How to find it

Open any Meera trip. The Export-to-Agent button is in the top-right action
bar on the trip-detail page, next to Share and PDF. One click to checkout.

If you're a travel agent and you want to receive briefs, the Advisors
page has a join form. Early-program agents get priority routing
on the partner-network briefs.

Trip planning is moving toward "AI does the planning, humans add the
craft." We think the cleanest version of that is a planner that hands off
deliberately — not a booking platform that pretends not to be one.
